C. E. Wagg is a Canadian fiction-fantasy writer working to publish her first novel. Born in Stouffville, Ontario, she now resides in Kitchener, Ontario with her fiancée and fluffy chonk (or cat for the refined readers) Henry. She likes to spend her free time hiking, running, rock climbing, and playing board games. Betrayal at the House on the Hill is one of her all-time favorites as it has such great re-playability and the story is expertly crafted.
She has a degree from the University of Waterloo in Anthropology and Classical Studies and a post-graduate certificate in Museum Management and Curatorship from Fleming College in Peterborough. An avid foodie, her favorite dishes are butter chicken and fudge brownies. Part of her life’s mission is to explore as many eateries as possible, tasting new and interesting things with a gluten free twist!
In her free time, she can frequently be found playing Dungeons and Dragons in one of her several campaigns. She loves experimenting with character types, but so far really enjoys a character with a quirky personality, much like her own. A favorite way to spend the day involves trolling through second hand book stores looking for favorite authors and beautiful bindings, or making her way through obscure antique markets looking for unique pieces.
One of her favourite and most influential authors is Jules Verne. His skill at bringing an evocative emotion to the fore of the reader’s attention is exemplary and something Caitlin tries to emulate in her own work (or at least tries!).
C. E. Wagg is an avid plant mom, though deaths are unfortunately more regular than she would like. With a lack of green thumb, she researches best practices on plant growth in hopes of keeping her place a lush green instead of a desolate brown.
Writing is her passion and she looks forward to this next journey of draft completion and editing on the path to publishing!
